Wednesday Whinge of the Week: Race Baiting in the USA

This is just wrong and makes me so mad.  The issue is an African American customer chastising a White American booking clerk/ reception staff member for 'messing up' his booking, to the point where the latter individual breaks down.

The former was recording the whole conversation on his phone and then sharing it to Twitter.  This had prompted another prominent African American celebrity to share it to his social media account, accusing the clerk of having a meltdown because he was 'scolded by a black person'.

The (mostly female African American) followers of this 'celebrity', however, weren't having a bar of it and they ended up telling the guy off for posting it.  It was completely uncalled for.

It also surfaced that the 'celebrity' called the clerk a 'faggot' (or something to that effect) - the guy was doing his best to explain the situation to the 'guest', that the system was down and that's why the guest's booking got messed up.  The homophobic slur was left out, in an effort to make this guy look bad but it turned out the guest ended up looking bad instead.

I personally won't share it on Blogger - I found it very triggering to watch and almost felt like crying myself.
