    This is the story.

A mother makes her daughter pose for a photo, holding a sign saying 'I made poor choices with social media' and stating that as part of a garage sale, she is selling her iPhone and donating the proceeds to an anti-bullying charity called 'Beat Bullying'.

The reason for her action was that she wanted her daughter to learn how to act appropriately towards others, and that she had tried other punishments which had obviously not worked.

Here is another article for this issue: http://www.examiner.com/article/mother-speaks-out-about-accusations-she-bullied-her-bully-daughter-on-facebook

The mother's actions had attracted a variety of responses from other social media users from this:

Humiliating your child to teach her not to humiliate other children? Gee, I wonder where she gets it!' one wrote.

'This is terrible parenting,' another added. 'It's things like this that make kids hate their parents. This will only make her behave worse out of spite.'

    To this:

'This makes me happy, because so often people only get caught after it's far too late to help the victims,' one wrote.

    'Brava, mom. Brava.'

No doubt, I happen to agree with the latter responses.  People have been way too soft on bullying for too long, and I happen to believe it is 'an eye for an eye, a tooth for tooth'.
