Wednesday Weekly Whinge: Taking Personal Responsibility

Take personal responsibility, that's the catch phrase I am hearing right now.

It's a term often used by someone who's had a better deal in life and especially in their job.

For instance, you are told you are late and that you need to 'take responsibility' for being on time.  However, crap gets in the way that might cause you to be late.  You don't mind making up the time, working a few minutes into your break etc.  

But what if the person doing the accusing can't produce the evidence you're being late but they give you a document they want you to sign.  I guess it's the best not to sign - that way you can't be caught out later on because it shows you didn't agree.  After all, your signature is important to them.  

It's best not to leave oneself open in these situations.  After all, you're not obligated to sign.
