I am so glad I am not in the U.S.

Some of you who have read my blog (and/or know me personally) may well know I am from Australia (and not from the USA).  So the latest election debate on Donald Trump vs Hillary Clinton just *astonishes* me.

I was listening to a well-know (commercial radio) station while I was on night shift, and they were playing snippets of Trump's conversations about his 'sexual conquests' with women, and quite frankly, they made me feel sick to the stomach.  I won't go into too much detail here, but you can read the article by clicking on this link.  He has said some other things that also could be construed as racist as well, but when he boasts about his own 'conquests' while criticising particular racial groups for doing the same thing (or allegedly doing those kinds of things), then I am afraid he has lost me there.  That is not to say they don't do it - because if they do (and get caught and proven guilty beyond a doubt), then they will also have to answer for it eventually.

Michelle Obama has weighed in on this issue (please click here).  But the irony here is that Hillary has 'led by example' by sticking with a man who has apparently cheated on her time and time again.

But what I have just read an article about some rant about some children with disabilities, which I have found equally saddening.  In some ways, it is even more saddening because this is a political party which claims to 'support' women and minorities.

You can listen to some of the Trump vs Hillary debate here; and Bill Clinton giving a *very naughty speech* here.

But in all seriousness, if you American, would you vote for these 'children'?  I know I wouldn't :/

And furthermore, hearing this kind of talk from those candidates makes me feel glad that I have never lived in the States also, because not only I am hearing real 'horror' stories about the police, black people, white people, Native Americans, Mexicans etc (and these are everyday people), but these are America's (and possibly the World's) future leaders, and I know I wouldn't want anyone like this to lead our country :(

(no) cheers,
Night Owl
