And I'm not gonna take it anymore: Well, that is how I am right now!!!
Of late, I have been going on about Mr Personality: Now the latest 'development' - I have just recently decided to put it in writing. So, what happened????
I was sent to the machine and asked to do something, when that pork chop came along and wanted me to move out of the way. At first, I didn't understand him, and didn't 'respond' straight away. Then he goes running over to my team leader and demands I get 'removed' from the machine.
So, I go up to the team leader and tell him that this is the kind of *crap* I have to put up with everytime I am near this person.
Next thing I know, I am *scolded* by the shift manager for 'shouting' on the floor, and told that it is unacceptable to shout on the floor, and if I had a problem, I should talk about it in the office (even though I wasn't being listened to and was being shouted at myself).
But, what about his behaviour? Doesn't anyone tell him what's acceptable and what's not? And he's done it before, carrying on like some overgrown schoolboy who is unable to take what he dishes out!!! If not, why? Is he 'untouchable'??? If so, why?
And not only me, but everyone else too - and we are getting to the point where we *will* have to take it further. Already, both the union reps on the shift wants to circulate a petition to get rid of him. I myself am giving my shift manager one more chance to change things and to discipline the spoilt brat. But I have a terrible feeling nothings going to happen though :/
So, anyway, the petition will be sent to HR, and hopefully they will do something. I am *so* glad I am not alone on this one. I've also been told the Anti-Discrimination Board, the HREOC (Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission) and the Fair Work Ombudsman are worthwhile options to look into (as well as the union).
(no) cheers,
Night Owl (well, at least until something is done)
PS I know other people hate him too because they have came up to me and congratulated me on 'standing up to him' and even some of the supervisors who regularly work on the machine are getting sick of him as well (one of them even told me he thinks he's a dickhead) :P
