This Could be my Daughter

This Could Be My Daughter

This is an article regarding the gang rape of a 13 year old girl by 13 assailants - the girl was a runaway whom nobody cared about while most of the assailants were illegal immigrants in the USA.  And while there is alot of media hype about a 'White Hispanic' man (George Zimmerman) murdering an African American youth (Trayvon Martin) in self defence (despite Mr Zimmerman being viciously assaulted) - there were numerous protest rallies over the 'White on Black' crime occurring in the USA.  Even though the courts found the murder of Mr Martin to be in self-defense.  Even cries of 'This victim could be my son' - yadiyadiya....

This article is a video link to talk show host Glenn Beck - he questions the politics, stating that the 13-year old victim of a gang rape can 'expect no such support.  He asks members of the public, 'Where are Al Sharpton and Barack Obama in all this?'  Obama could have given a speech saying, 'My daughter is turning 14' etc etc...

Here is a part of his speech:
He continued: “We are witnessing a society that is completely detached, and we are detached because we have an agenda. Why didn't we tell the story of the 13-year-old-girl? Because of an agenda. The second rapist was black, the others were illegal immigrants, so we don’t tell that story. That’s not a good story, that doesn't help us with our agenda…”

This is not unlike the incidents regarding the gang rapes of Australian teenage girls by Middle Eastern youths (or youths of Middle Eastern appearances), particularly in the case of Bilal Skaff and his mob - also racially motivated.  Also not a good story, and doesn't help with one's agenda.  But the media still published it.  And, ironically, it was the *mothers* of Middle Eastern youths who are saying the news coverage gives their 'communities' a bad name - no no no no no!!!  It is those perpetrators that are giving the communities a bad name, not the news coverage (as the media and police have been walking on eggshells ever since)!!!  These cretins have done the wrong thing according to the laws of this country, and they should face the consequences of the law!!!

And what is also not mentioned is that just as much 'black on black' crime occurs in the USA as well as 'intra-racial' crime here (if not more) - it doesn't get the media coverage like the 'white on black' crime does in the States (and yes, 'black on black' crime also occurs in Aboriginal communities, even sexual abuse; and yet the 'do-gooders' still won't remove the victims (even under-aged ones) from those families or 'communities' where it does happen, for fear of creating another 'Stolen Generation').

How is this right when murder, sexual assault, abuse and neglect occur?  Crime is still crime, regardless of who does what to whom.  Seriously, if we are to foster tolerance between people of different nationalities and the like, we should get our priorities right.  We should be protecting the children first, and worrying about the ethnic communities later.  None of this bullshit about, 'Oh, but he could be my son'.  Sorry if anyone's offended, but someone should speak up for the victim(s), regardless of race, colour or creed.  Should not the right to live safely and free from violence be a priority over everything?

Me thinks so :)

cheers,
Night Owl
